finally home
I've been doing everything I've been dreaming about for the past four months. Being home has been just as amazing as expected. I've seen a lot of my friends and been baking and cooking a LOT. The first day I got home I made chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon buns. And since then I've made raspberry squares, macaroons, a mozzarella, tomato, pesto panini, and cooked maple glazed salmon. I think I've gained like 10 lbs and I haven't even been home for a week yet. We also have been preparing for Christmas. Lots of decorating, cooking, and shopping. It's been heaven. I have been missing Sam though. It has been weird not waking up every morning and seeing him. But I'm very excited for Christmas to roll around. I've gotten really good gifts for everyone on my list so I'm excited to see them open them all! We just got our Christmas tree today (late I know but they were waiting for my return home!) look how cute it is!
That's my brother on the right. Look at all the presents! |

my last day in Jordan
Tomorrow morning I leave for JFK from Amman. And after spending the day wading through bureaucratic bullshit (getting maybe 100 signatures saying I could leave) I am more than ready. But why is it that whenever you are ready to say farewell you start to notice all the little things you'll miss. And boy do people really come out of the woodwork to wish you goodbye. I have had people saying goodbye to me all day and it's made me wonder if I've had more of an influence on some of these kids than I first thought. We also got a very public thank you in assembly for helping out with the huge conference that just took place and even my boss was nice and said thank you. SHE EVEN BROUGHT CAKE. Home-made carrot cake. It was fantastic. So all in all it was a pretty good day. But it did make me wonder if I'm gonna miss this place more than I thought. But I am more than ready to see my family and eat my five guys burger. However, not looking forward to the 13 hour flight. Hopefully those sleeping pills will kick in.

If you've never heard of 8tracks.com:
1. I'm happy I'm the one to make you're life better by sharing this with you.
2. Do you live under a rock?
3. Please, don't waste anymore time - go to 8tracks.com immediately.
This is the best name for a playlist I have ever seen: (I haven't listened to it yet - but it's got GREAT potential.)
